The Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), was established by Act 805, 2010 as a vehicle for transforming the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone (NSEZ) into a place of jobs and wealth. The major priorities of this part of Ghana are clearly out-lined in this Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) for the period 2018-2021. The plan also aligns with the key policy objectives of the Government of H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, including:
• Radical efforts to revive the industrial sector including “One –district one-factory” strategy
• Focus on irrigation, large and small, including “One-village-one –dam”
• Expansion of agricultural sector and agribusiness, including “Planting for food and jobs” agenda
• Focus on Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) agenda
• An aggressive and strategic approach to attracting local and foreign investments
• The revitalization of the urban sectors, including through the “Zongo Development Fund”
• Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP)
